CONNIE QUIRK Connie has been a library media specialist since 1987
for the Brookings School District. The goal of our Mickelson
Middle School Library is to encourage students to be better
readers and eventually better "knowledge managers." Good
reading is promoted and library skills are taught
emphasizing both print and electronic resources. LaDONNA MICKO LaDonna has been a library assistant in the middle
school since 1992.

Library Spot is a plethora of information including several encyclopedias, dictionaries, and newspapers from both the United States and around the world. Hundreds of magazine and journal articles are found using ProQuest. The MMS Library of 19,500 plus items can be searched using Web Collection Plus. The Brookings Public Library and SDSU's Briggs Library can both be selected and searched under SD State Library.
